Peyote Bracelet

This is my variation of the bracelet that was in the June 2005 issue of Bead and Button. The one in Bead & Button had leaves, flowers, and even a ladybug (I think) covering the clasp...this one doesn't. Also, I changed the clasp. If you have any comments, please e-mail me at wowmaw@aol.com!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Bracelet

This is my design that has been published in the 2010 Beading Bead-a-Day Calendar. It's a Right Angle Weave (RAW) bracelet embellished with 6mm Comet Argent Light Swarovski Crystals. This bracelet has some serious sparkle! :)

Rose Garden Bracelet

This bracelet is made from a pattern by Glenda Payseno (http://www.lulu.com/glendasbooks). I'm not sure what stitch this is...maybe daisy chain variation or netting variation?

Flat Cellini Bracelet

I made this a LONG time ago. It's fun to make, but you have to remember to pull really tight.

Hematite Two-Drop Peyote

This is pretty self-explanatory...lol. It's a two drop peyote bracelet made with hematite cubes and whatever Delica is called gunmetal or hematite. Then I did a braided rope edge using sterling and gunmetal 15/0s.

Two Drop Peyote Bracelets

I made these a million years ago. The pattern is in Step by Step Beads, but I can't remember which issue. They are fun and easy to make.

Tabac Pendant

I love the Tabac Swarovski's! Here are two that I bezeled around (I always want to say "embezzled"--that word gets stuck in my brain...lol) and connected. I wear it as a pendant on a neckwire. It doesn't photograph nearly as pretty as it actually is. I have two 23mm Tabac Swarovski triangles that I got from Cindy Beadlady (check my links). She's the only one that I've seen to have the Tabac triangles. I'm going to "embezzle" them, too, once I get the chance! :)

Herringbone Bracelet with Crystal Inserts

This is a herringbone bracelet with Czech crystal inserts. It took a really long time to do, and I had to rip out a lot. Thanks, Puca and Sylvie, for your help with this! :)

Woolly Worms

This is a pattern that my friend, Shirley, taught to our local beading group. I don't usually make more than one of something, so you can tell that I like this pattern! :) It's easy and it goes with everything.

Why I Haven't Been Beading...

My boy graduated! Yay!!! He was named a National Merit Scholar and, because of this, was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to the University of Alabama! It's a full academic scholarship, and he will leave in the fall. So, ROLL TIDE!

Not to be outdone, my daughter (who is 11) has decided that she is going to be the first woman president (and also the youngest because she plans on doing this when she is 35)! :)

Christmas Bracelet

This is a two-drop peyote bracelet that I designed. It was First Runner Up in a December Contest that Bead Bugle.com Magazine held in 2007. I used a cube mix of Christmas colors. I probably didn't need to post this in May, huh? Oh, well... :)

Comments

I removed the comments option on my blog (at least I think I did it right). I want to receive comments because I like hearing from people, but I feel badly when I can't respond back to them if I don't have their e-mail address. This way, my e-mail is at the top of my blog and you can e-mail me personally and I can answer!

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

This is my design that was published in the February 2009 issue of Bead & Button as "Dimensional Diamonds." It can either be made as even-count peyote with an ending row of brick stitch or odd-count peyote. I made it as a cuff, but it can easily be made as a bracelet with a clasp!

Thank You

Some of you leave the nicest comments, and I would really like to e-mail you and thank you...but I can't because I can't find an e-mail address on your profiles...so...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! :)

Space Cadet

Here's my doll that I have been working on FOREVER. To be honest, the reason that she took forever was because she was a "to-go" project. I kept her in the car and worked on her when I was away from home...never AT home. She started out as a Snow Queen or Ice Princess, but everyone kept asking me if she was an astronaut, so I decided to call her my "Space Cadet." The crown was my daughter, Rachel's, idea. I made a "Crystal Burst" ring from Laura McCabe's book just so I could be able to say that I could...lol...but knew I would never wear it because I would end up knocking the embellishment off. And I hate for things to go to waste and I didn't want to undo it...so, my Space Cadet has a crown. I really enjoyed creating her, but it will be a LONGGG time before I do another one!

Moonlit Pearls/Moonlit Dusk

This is a pattern by Glenda Payseno. You can find that and other patterns by Glenda at http://stores.lulu.com/GlendasBooks
I copied a friend's (again...lol) WITH her permission. This is a version of Glenda's necklace that was created by a friend, Dianne. She calls her version "Moonlit Dusk."
I loved Dianne's colors so much that I had to have the same colors, and it wears very nicely and looks so pretty that I'm going to make a bracelet to match! :)

Gold Iris Bugle Bracelet

This is another version of the bugle peyote bracelet. It's made with Size 1 bugles in a gold iris color.

Puffy Star

This is a three-dimensional star designed by Glenda Payseno. This is an easy pattern. I am very geometrically challenged (lol), and I was able to make it! I added a string of 15/0s at the top so that I could wear it on a neckwire! Glenda's patterns are located at http://stores.lulu.com/GlendasBooks
And thanks, everyone, for the nice comments! :)

Square Swarovski Bracelet

I didn't really use a pattern for this. I used crystal tabac squares and looped them with peyote strips. I used DB-31 Delicas for the peyote strips. I beaded the strips over the edges of the squares like a bail. There are other ways to do that, but I didn't want the crystals to be able to touch each other in the loops. I used a Swarovski button for the clasp.

White Flat Spiral Bracelet

This is the same pattern as the Black Magic Bracelet that I posted earlier in the blog. I just didn't want to call it a "White Black Magic Bracelet"...lol.

Swarovski and Bali Silver Bracelet

This bracelet is a no-brainer. It's strung on Softflex with Swarovski's, Bali silver spacers, and Swarovski rondelles. It's very easy to make and goes with a lot of outfits!

Netted Bracelet

I made this bracelet with gold size 11 charlottes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE charlottes! The bracelet is from a premier issue of a magazine that never published another issue...and it was a REALLY good magazine. It was called Bead World.

Peyote Bugle Bracelet

There really isn't a pattern for this. A friend made one from size 1 bugles, and I copied it! I seem to be making a habit of that, huh? Anyhow, it's simple peyote with a picot edge and a Swarovski button for the clasp. This is another one of those bracelets that is VERY comfortable and feels slinky. I'm working on another one right now in a gold iris mix. I hardly EVER make two of anything.

Bronze Garden Bracelet

This is a version of a bracelet that my friend, Shirley, makes. There really is no pattern. I was just a copycat! :)

Crystal Burst Ring

This is from Laura McCabe's pattern. Miyuki makes a Crystal AB Delica. Yay! It's DB-51 and I used it in this ring since I used a crystal rivoli.

Evening Iridescence

This bracelet is from a Lisa Kan pattern that was in the December 2008/January 2009 issue of Beadwork. This bracelet is very comfortable and, thankfully, the colors that I chose go with a lot of different outfits. Usually I'm not very good at picking colors on my own. :(

Bowtie Bracelet

This pattern was designed by Deborah Roberti.

Black Magic Bracelet

This bracelet was originally published in the February/March 2007 issue of Beadwork. It was made using what some people call a "flat spiral" stitch.

Berry Gold Spiral

This bracelet is tubular netting and was designed by Glenda Payseno.

All That Glitters

Bracelet kit from Whim Beads http://www.whimbeads.com/
This bracelet has a right angle weave base and is embellished like crazy with Swarovskis and other beads.
